Kalma

Kalma is an old finnish word for death, and can also refer to death as a person or an entity.

This was a very time consuming picture, even though it was a lot easier to draw than just about any of my anime pictures. To be honest, I really had a lot of fun drawing this. I just started from a single tooth, and drew everything that popped into my mind from there on. One little thing after another, and suddendly I just had this whole thing in front of me. No planning whatsoever.

The lineart was done with marker- and caligraphy pencils, and I shaded it with soft (B) pencils.

Sorry for that little line on the middle. I had to scan this in two parts because of its size. Hope you don't mind.
