Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, from My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic.

Why is it that I'm only able to get about one proper drawing done each month? I really need to draw more stuff, more often. I also need to draw more monsters, even though they are really difficult to draw in color.

This picture is essentially the newest addition to the "Arcane" set of pictures, depicting the ponies in a darker, JRPG influenced continuity. There's no fanfic to depict the events of the story, but if there are going to be more of these pictures, I might combine them into an illustrated short story of sorts.

As always, this was drawn with water soluble color pencils, and finished with white gel pen.

Credits for the ponies goes to Lauren Faust and Hasbro.

Since this pic takes place in an alternate timeline (says so in the description), I'd say that they already have their marks by now, but they just aren't visible in the picture.

Apple Bloom has a potion bottle, and a philosophers stone, so it's probably alchemy related. Sweetie Belle on the other hand has an instrument, so hers is probably a music related one. Though I'm pretty sure she doesn't use that instrument just to play music.

I must say your art is the most amazing traditional pony art i've ever seen in all of deviantart! I do some traditional art myself but nothing of my work will ever compare to yours! it's so beautiful and real! and the way that white gel pen adds effects to the drawing. Keep up the amazing work!
