Dizzy's Promise

Description

The character is Dizzy from Guilty Gear, along with her guardian Necro.

For those unfamiliar with the Guilty Gear games, Dizzy is half human, half gear, making her a sort of a biological weapon. However, she shuns violence, and fights only when she has to. Both her wings host an entity that acts as her guardian. A dark wing in the form of a grim reaper, and a blue-white in the form of an angel.

I drew this with technical pencil, and coloured it with colour pencils. I also used a bit of gel pen here and there, so it's all traditional.

Oh, and if anyone has some good tips on using colour pencils, I'd be happy to hear 'em out. It might take me a while to answer, but I'll try to reply as soon as I can.

I have to say I liked how you really brought in your own intrpretation for Necro. It's more interesting seeing 'him' in this with that emaciated ghoul-like appearance rather than the more obvious, straightforward grim-reaper-esque style.
As for Dizzy though, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I keep sensing something about her doesn't feel right. I'm sorry in saying this, as I overall think it's a real good drawing, but the strangeness I keep getting about Dizzy is present enough to bother me about it.
=(
Looking at the 'Two Moons Dizzy', I'm wondering if it might be a somewhat subtle yet notable difference in head proportion, or rather this drawing feels as though the eyes might be about the same proportion to 'Two Moons...' but not the head.
Granted, I am aware this was a considerable amount of time between more recent drawings you submitted but I felt I should let all thoughts on this piece off my chest.
Overall, I genuinely believe this to be an interesting interpretation of character with just a little felt need for improvement.
Nicely done. =)
